|Talking and reading about
equipment doesn't help in making good photographs. On the other hand, it won't
hurt to read one or two reviews before buying a new piece of equipment.
On my website you can find a few short comments about cameras, lenses and telescopes. Testing equipment is very time-consuming and takes a lot of experience and care. In order to make definite judgements about certain aspects of performance one needs to create laboratory conditions. But test results obtained under well defined laboratory conditions are difficult to transfer to real-world situations.
|The comments on my website are incomplete and imperfect and they will always be. It is a collection of answers to questions I've asked about my equipment. The answers come from a mix of experiences "out in the field" and simple experiments under non-laboratory conditions. The answers help me to recognize the limits of the equipment but the most limiting factor is always me, the photographer behind the equipment.|
