A first attempt at "lucky imaging" of a planet can be seen here . Lucky imaging is a technique that reduces the impact of atmospheric turbulence. A large number of images - typically a few thousand - are taken and only the best 10-50% exposures are chosen and added ("stacked") and the combination is sharpened.
