Fig.19 - "La Maison de la Place" (house on the village square) in Rossinière. The builder of this house wanted his house to be the biggest and most
beautiful ever seen. The originally symmetrical house was started in 1661 and the topping out ceremony took place in 1664, though work continued until 1670.
