Fig.3 - The beautiful open star cluster Messier 44 (Beehive Cluster, Praesepe) in the constellation Cancer on February 03 / 04, 2024. Image taken with a TS (Teleskop-Service) Imaging Star 65mm f/6,5 quadruplet refractor riding on a ZWO AM5 harmonic drive mount. Twenty-five 5-minute exposures (125 minutes total exposure), taken with an ASI2600MC camera at gain 100, were added for this shot with Astro Pixel Processor (APP) software and the final image processing was done in Photoshop. Darks, flats, bias and darkflats were used. Click on the image to see a version with star spikes (artificially produced). Refractors don't produce star spikes, Newtonian reflectors do.
